Totally Tilda and...

anything but a card!

OMG, I just noticed that my scheduled post didn't work sorry!

That's right, over at Totally Tilda Challenges we want you to do anything but a card. I had originally had some big dreams, ha ha. They became a book mark. Ah well, another challenge right!

This was really quite fun for a change. Limiting with such a small space and I didn't want it to be too thick as it was to go inside a book. Tilda is colored with copics and the butterfly and leaf  punch is MS. The flowers are made by me except the big one with glitter, that was Prima. Oh and I have an around the corner punch that I used on the edge which was MS on sale 2x's cause it was on sale at Micheals and Oprah had a coupon for 20% off including sale prices...wellllll tahnks Oprah and Trisha for telling me about the coupon. Boy was the teller dumbfounded at that one. They never let you use a coupon on sale items and she tried to tell me BUT I was on the ball that day. HA HA!

I also want to mention that the lovely book that Tilda is perched on is by Kelly Rae Roberts, lovely dear artist who is full of artsy inspiration.  I just love her paintings. Go and check out HER SITE.

I am entering this over at cupcake inspirations where the cupcakes are colored red, green and cream.

Make sure you head over to Totally Tilda and get your NON CARD entry in!

Totally Tilda 'n' Tags....

It is that time again and a new challenge is up over at Totally Tilda. This round Susie and us girls are looking for TAGS.

Here are mine:
I really must be on a new paper roll, once again, no K&Company! HA! The background paper is some DP I got at a scrapping weekend, I added some white swirls with some white ink and SU stamps, and faux stitching with a gel pen. The foreground paper is by DCWV and it is one of the glitter stacks, really gorgeous paper, embosses and glittery and retro patterns galore!

I used copics to color my Tildas and the flowers are from prima and wild orchid. My ribbons are from really reasonable ribbons and went perfect with the retro papers.

Hope you liked my tags, I am going to enter them at the following challenges:

Cupcake crafts  In a garden (I have lots of flowers and girls with flowers and a gardening hat)
Paper Sundaes- Pop it up (my Tildas are popped up and my flowers are so layered they pop right off too!)

That's it for me folks! Head over to Totally Tilda and get some tags entered for Susie's fabby prizes!

And here is my card!

Papers are... omg... no WAY, Basic Grey! I actually cheated on my K & Company! Ribbon is SU, flowers are Wild Orchid. The butterfly.. I know you are thinking "wow! where did she get that butterfly thingy, what is it!" I was at the dollarama and they had these beautiful multicolored foam"ish" coasters in four packs, so I bought a bunch. I figured my croonies would like some so I bought extra, they don't know yet.

And a close up. I am giving this to my mom for mother's day today.

Hope all the mother's out there have a wonderful and relaxing MOTHER'S DAY!

Totally Tilda is Paper Piecing!

Over at Totally Tilda challenges this round we are asking you to do some paper piecing. It is so much fun I am not sure why I don't do it more often!

Did you catch that? Did ya? Yes......it is.......exactly what you think it is! Stop rubbing your eyes you are seeing correctly although, you may start rubbing them again if you get too close! What is the fuss about you ask? My daughter thought I was totally nuts when I told her I was going to put my kitchen scraps on my card and there it is! I was clearing off the cupboard the next morning after supper (too lazy to do the dishes after supper and low and behold there was the top off my onion, all curled up and I thought "How pretty is that! I looks like a flower!" My daughter was mortified, she said straight away "What are they gonna think when you give it to them and it stinks like onion!" "Well darlin, that is what body spray is for!" I told her. Couple of spritz's and it smells like....a rose!
And a close up of my lovely recycled onion!

Look how the onion skin matches the butterfly, that was so planned, not!

And, oh oh I finally got to use my new magnolia dragonfly dohickey that I got fer me birthday from me bestest friend ever Cor! Sorry Corry, it worked like a charm so I think yours is defective. Better send it back. Thanks baby for mine, which you can of course borrow anytime till you get yer new one!

Gonna enter this one over at Magnolia-licious challenges where the theme is Pink and Green. Oh, I am also gonna sneek this in over at Magnolia Stamp Lovers where the theme is flowers! Maybe my onion flower will catch their eye!

You make sure you head over to Totally Tilda and get your paper pieced creation in there!

I'm baaaaaack!

I know, you were thinking... OMG, did she die. That is what I think when bloggers drop off the face of the blogiverse. No, I was just busy. I am back though with a new challenge over at Totally Tilda

Tilda around the world!

I just love this Asian Tilda.
Do I need to say it...papers are K&Company, flowers are Wild Orchid, ribbon is CTMH.
I colored her with Copics and I used chalk for her cheeks. Big cheater huh!

Head on over to Totally Tilda and get your entries in cause Susie always has great prizes and she is cute too.

I am going to enter this card over at Paper Sundaes where the challenge is childhood memories. This card is my childhood memory of our old neighbor. She used to go every year to China and she would always bring us home candy which was totally cool. I always wanted an umbrella from China and lo and behold one time she brought one home for me. I totally wrecked it, idiot, but it was cool.

Totally Tilda's gone FRUITY!

Yessireeee. Fruity!

Actually, it's just the theme this week over at Totally Tilda! We have a fabby sponsor  this week, Best Cardmaking Downloads , so you wanna head over there and check it out. We got to use some of their digital papers, and here is what I made with the peaches paper!
Now before  you say "PEACHES! WHAT THE...". I threw the peaches paper into photoshop and changed the hue/sat to a plum color and voila, plum paper! I had to click on the leaves and invert the selection so that the rest changed and not the leaves.
Flowers are from Wild Orchid and prima, leaf punch MS, the butterfly is my mini Butterfly punch also MS.
I created the background by placing a sheet of the GREEN TEXTURED digital paper in the background and using my inverted scallop nestie to cut out the purple decorative ring and placed it behind the PEACH PAPER which I cut with the large scalloped nestie. I pop dotted them up off the background to make it look like a frame.

Hope ya like!

Make sure you go over to Totally Tilda and get your entries in!

I am entering my card over at MDUC, the challenge is FLOWER POWER. And over at CCT it is a sketch.

Totally Tilda in the garden!

The brand new challenge is up over at Totally Tilda!!!

The challenge this week is Tilda in the Garden! We have Bunny Zoe sponsoring us this round and she has a sale on just for you! If you want more info head on over to the TT blog to get the deets.

Now for my card...
Papers, well what do you know, K&Company. Sentiment is Stampin up. The butterflies are My MS punches (just got the little butterfly lately). My sweet little son God love him made me a card for christmas and wrote in it "here you go mom, buy yourself something for stamping." He put $10.00 of his own money he earned in it.  He is 9.  I coulda cried. Too stinking sweet. So I bought the punch, I use it like crazy and he is soooo happy.

And a close up of course. Colored her up with my copics, I have really been into them lately. I actually use pink chalk and a q-tip for the cheeks it is so much easier than the copics.

Here is a close up of the butterfly. I used patterned paper and then bent it so I could sponge the body green and then rubbed some liquid pearls on it.

That is about it! I just want to thank all my followers, I just realized how much my list has grown. I am so sorry I haven't visited you all, I have been a terrible blogger these days. Got a lot on the go.

So head over to Totally Tilda and get those garden themed cards in and go spend some dough at Bunny Zoe's (she has some new maggies!!!!!)

I am going to enter my card over at Magnolia Down Under where the theme is a sketch.
